Shipping Shock

Quite a shock ordering my "proof copy" from ClearSpace: $24.00 in shipping costs (though only $4.00 in production ccosts)! It may be that shipping would be cheaper if I lived in the US. It will be interesting to see what the book's cost is once we get it on Amazon--it may be that the "proof copy" charges are also higher than a 'regular' purchase. We moved away from lulu because of the costs of shipping a single copy to Canada--we may need to reconsider.

My current plan is to continue the process through both providers and see which provides the lowest cost to (a) the publisher (me) and (b) to the end customer.
